This is one of Chuck Palahniuk's best novels to date (even though it came out eleven years ago.) Comically dark, wryly witty, and seriously sardonic, it centers around a former beauty queen who had it all- a boyfriend, a career, and a best friend- that is until a car accident permanently scars her face. A newly 'invisible monster', hardly anyone realizes she exists.
