Synecdoche

If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out. Caden Cotard is burdened by neuroses, self-doubt, and various physical ailments. Upon receiving a MacArthur grant, he decides to write and produce a play based on his own life. He builds a giant set in a warehouse in New York, and casts friends to portray the people in his life. After a while, the rehearsals get so long and drawn out that it's unclear if the play will ever come to fruition.
