Juliet, Naked

This seems like a really interesting book. It's about musician Tucker Crowe who was once famous but disappears from the public eye, and the fans who create a mythology around his music and his renown. One of Crowe's die-hard fans, Duncan, breaks up with his girlfriend when she fails to see the genius behind one of Crowe's albums, Juliet. After the couple breaks up, Duncan's girlfriend shortly develops a connection to Tucker Crowe, first casually through email, then on more of a personal level. Hornby underscores the characters' delusions about their own identities, while portraying them in a sympathetic light.
