Pygmy

Chuck Palahniuk's newest novel, Pygmy, looks pretty interesting.  His last few were not nearly as satisfying as Fight Club, Invisible Monsters, Choke... but this one looks like a really engaging read.  It's about a group of young people sent to various American towns from a totalitarian state, disguised as exchange students.  They're meant to fit in, all the while planning random acts of terrorism parading as a science project called Operative Havoc.  Narrated by a 13-year-old boy named Pygmy, the prose is often confusing, as Pygmy thinks in grammar-less sentences.  A powerful, razor-sharp critique of American social, political and religious institutions, Pygmy may be Palahniuk's most riveting satire to date.  Check it out on bn.com
