The Omnivore's Dilemma

This book came out a few years ago, but I still have not had the chance to read it.  Although I'm sure if I do, I will never touch certain foods again.  Michael Pollan traces the origins of the industrial, organic and alternative food chains that we need to live- from their sources to the time they get to our dinner table.  In doing so, Pollan creates an account of how the American way of eating will affect our overall health and determine what's in store for our planet.  Also check out In Defense of Food, The Botany of Desire, and Food Rules on amazon.
